The US and Russia (ex-USSR) have never gone to war directly, despite supporting opposite sides in various Third World conflicts in the Cold War and today, because both the countries have different types of interrelationships. Both the countries have different and complex forms of ideology, economic, social, and political factors (Smith, & Twardowski, 2017). Though both the parties have bitter superpower rivalry, both the countries are the superpowers in the world. So, both the countries are cautious about their interrelationships and cooperation. Both the countries have a different form of political ideology and system, such diversifying political system sometimes prevents them to meet both the countries in the mutual understanding regarding any policy or issue.
